The Trials of Cato

Pleser oedd croesawu un o gyn-ddisgyblion Ysgol Plas Coch yn ôl i’r ysgol y bore ‘ma.  Daeth Robin Jones a gweddill y band The Trials Of Cato, William Addison a Tomos Williams, i ddiddanu’r disgyblion a’r staff cyn ateb llwyth o gwestiynau diddorol.  Syniad llysgenhadon iaith yr ysgol oedd gwahodd band sy’n defnyddio’r Gymraeg i’r ysgol er mwyn hyrwyddo’r iaith a cherddoriaeth Gymraeg.  Dewis amlwg oedd The Trials of Cato gan fod dau o’r tri o’r ardal, a Robin, wrth gwrs, yn gyn-ddisgybl.  Cafodd y llysgenhadon gyfle i gynnal cyfweliad â’r band er mwyn eu holi am bwysigrwydd yr iaith yn eu llwyddiant.  Diolch yn fawr i The Trials of Cato.

It was a pleasure to welcome one of our former pupils back to Ysgol Plas Coch this morning. Robin Jones and the rest of the band The Trials Of Cato, William Addison and Tomos Williams, came to entertain the pupils and staff before answering a load of interesting questions. It was the idea of the school’s Welsh language ambassadors to invite a band to school in order to promote Welsh language and music. The Trials of Cato was an obvious choice as two of the three are from the area, and Robin, of course, a former pupil. Our Welsh language ambassadors had the opportunity to interview the band to ask them about the importance of the language in their success.  A big thank you to The Trials of Cato.
